I'm making a fresh start on my blog, and invite you all to join me in my new venture.
Country Curtains in Market Drayton is about to set out on a new journey, I very much hope that all my readers will enjoy following and feel able to help and advise me along the way.
As some readers will already know 'Country Curtains' is a home-based business in Market Drayton, Shropshire. It has been up and running for almost five years and makes bespoke hand-finished, made-to-measure curtains, fabric blinds and soft furnishings.
I am now hoping to take the business to a new level, selling fabrics tracks, poles and accessories. I'll be pulling on the strings of many new ideas, but am trusting that the journey will be a good one.
Kind regards to you all.

Hello - I thought I'd show you a few jobs I am working on this week, I am still busy, but working to clear as much as possible before I have a few days away in July.
I finished extending a pair of curtains that I made for a customer a while back. (She had her windows replaced recently and they needed making a bit wider) - I added contrast edges and made her up a couple of cushion covers in the left over fabric. - I hope you agree that they look rather good?
My next job is already on the cutting table - I will update my blog and let you know how it turns out.

I've spent hours this week trying to learn several things - How to use my camera, how to use Picasa 3, how to crochet African Flowers, how to read a crochet pattern, where to buy wool, how to use facebook and how to blog. I've also managed a little of my Country Curtains work, baked a few cup-cakes and eaten the odd bar of chocolate.
It has all been very enjoyable if a little frustrating at times. Thanks to all the people who's blogs and facebook sites have helped and inspired me.
